Family Time

Where you just want to take a stroll along the river with your children, or maybe a picnic by one of our many springs or set off on short hike in the surrounding wilderness, there is a lot for families to do here at House on Metolius.

Explorer all of the corners of the property—this is the old playhouse at the Main House.

The simplest adventures are often the best—a stroll along river, and perhaps some splashing in the waters—the river is quite cold, but in most places shallow, and there are many springs where it is easy to wade.

Walk or drive down river to the Wizard Falls fish hatchery, where you can feed enormous trout and observe schools of thousands of fingerlings (baby trout). A great day-hike or short drive from House on Metolius.
