Pets
Due to the potential for conflict with wildlife, we do not allow pets on the property at House on Metolius.
Deposits
We charge a deposit of 40% of the booking at the time of your reservation. The remainder of your booking is charged five days prior to your arrival.
Cancellations
You may cancel for a full refund up to 60 days prior to your arrival. Between 60 days and 5 days from your arrival, your 40% deposit is non-refundable, but you may cancel your reservation and there will be no further charge. Five days prior to your arrival, we will charge the remaining balance to your card. At this time the booking is no longer refundable.
We may, at our discretion, apply any unused amount to a credit for future bookings—please get in touch as soon as possible if you need to make a change. We have a very limited number of accommodations on the property, and can not always rebook canceled cabins on short notice—thank you for your understanding!
Please note that policies vary for weddings and retreats, special packages or bookings through 3rd parties like AirBnB. Review the booking description in your reservation or call us for details.
Smoking
House on Metolius is located in a forested area, and many of the structures are wooden cabins, so fire hazard is something that we take very seriously. No smoking is allowed inside any of the buildings, and we ask that guests also avoid smoking in the surrounding forested areas. Smoking is allowed outside, but must be at least ten feet from public facilities, lodges and other facilities. Smoking in a guest room or building will incur an automatic damage and cleaning fee of $250.

Events
Check-In time is 4pm. Check-Out time is 11am. Early Check-In is by request only and not guaranteed. Late Check-Out must be coordinated with our staff in advance. Guests must be at least 21 years old to check-in to House on Metolius.
At House on Metolius, we are committed to ensuring the best possible experience for all our guests. To maintain this standard of excellence, we have established policies regarding events held on our premises, including but not limited to weddings, family reunions, and business retreats. All events planned to be held on the property must receive prior authorization from House on Metolius management. This requirement is crucial to ensure that we can adequately prepare for the event and maintain the quality of service for which we are known.
