The Northwest Civil War Council will be on site in mid-May, for the fifth annual Civil War event here at House on Metolius.
A full Civil War reenactment at The House On Metolius Meadow is open to the public, Saturday and Sunday, May 19 & 20, 2018.
Over 200 Civil War reenactors will present living conditions and circumstances of 1863. This is the fifth Civil War living history event held at the site and the only event of its kind in Central Oregon.
Mock battles with cannons and muskets firing real black powder are scheduled for 11am and 3pm each day. The event is open 9am to 5pm Saturday, and 9am to 4pm on Sunday. General admission, $8.00. Seniors and students, $5.00. Children under six, free. Parking, $5 per vehicle to help the Boy Scouts. Guests staying at House on Metolius have complementary access.
We provide a special entrance to the Meadow for people attending the Civil War event—please follow the signs from Highway 20.
