Overview 

House on Metolius is surrounded by National Forest, and if you like outdoor adventure, the sky is the limit. Many people come and spend most of their time hiking and biking in the millions of acres of national forest and wilderness that surround the property on all sides.

If a full day in the mountains sounds a little aggressive, there are a number of easy walks and hikes along the river, and some nice bike loops. If you want a little more excitement, there are plenty of local peaks that can be climbed in a day, and Smith Rock is forty-five minutes away and has world class rock climbing.

And let’s not forget the fishing – whether you want to spend the whole day stalking bull trout, or just make a few lazy casts to some rainbows right as the sun sets, there are plenty of options.
